"Bust a Move"

Today was our longest driving day (12 hours and 7 min!), but we were able to pass the time with the amazing mix cds that we acquired before our adventure. Here what we listened to today:

1. Dena - Great start to the trip! Fun pump-up music to get us going!

2. Mike - (see separate post!)

3. Tina - This was the 2nd appearance of the song "Bust a Move!". We loved how it had a little bit of it all. Jamie especially loved "Mr. Wendall"

4. Jim (Holly's friend)- Again, wonderful compilation that focused on hope, love and tragedy. While listening, we thought that one of the songs was just some of his friends recording it on their back porch and after talking to him, it was indeed. 

5. Wallace (the English teacher) - the first CD that Jamie and I both knew all the words too! We clapped at the end of this one!

6. Russ (our student) - Gold star to Russ! I was disappointed because I thought one of the songs was Kelly Clarkson, but it was the Strokes. We listened to this as we crossed 500 miles!

7. Jon Iberg - Only my brother could put together such a mix. It was filled with inside jokes, various alcohol and drug references (?) and the best opening song of the day! 

8. Jamie's Mom - this mix came with a game! Great selections and we got 26/37 right. (I only helped with 4 points, Jamie is the more musically minded) Fun idea and great mix!

9. Patrick (Holly's friend) - Good wind-down mix for the end of the day of driving!
